Scene Study:

In Scene Study, experienced acting students will work on and perform a selected scene from a contemporary American or English play for the class. In a given week, half of the students will show their progress to the rest of the class. The students will be expected to meet with the other actors in their scene to rehearse on their own time in order to progress in performance quality each time they perform for the class. They will also be expected to comment on each scene they see with dialogue that will be helpful to their fellow actors. The teacher will direct each scene during class as if it were in rehearsal.

The Scene Study Class will also have a Writer-in-Residence. The students, the writer and the director will work together towards writing and producing a One Act Play. A description of this process will be available to Scene Study students before class begins.

Scene Study meets Wednesdays: 7:30- 9:30
