Abigail Greene is a musician and educator from Brooklin, Maine. A graduate of George Stevens Academy,
she went on to received her BA from Yale
University, where she wrote and co-directed an
adaptation of The Bremen Town Musicians for Yale Children’s Theater. Abigail lived in Germany for two years, one of which as a Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange student ambassador. During her time in Germany, she sang with two jazz ensembles and a small acoustic band, studied piano at the Kölner Musikhochschule (Cologne Conservatory), completed a practicum at the recording studio Sound Around Studios in Hennef, and recorded with a small studio in Leverkusen. After returning to Maine in summer 2007, Abigail worked with Cabin Fever Theater as Assistant Music Director for the production of South Pacific at the Reach Performing Arts Center. She most recently completed a year as Music Director of the predominantly vocal program at the Bay School in Blue Hill. Other local performance credits include concerto soloist with the Bangor Symphony Orchestra, the Blue Hill Pops with Paul Sullivan, Monday Lunch Music with Sebastian Greene at the Blue Hill Public Library, benefit concerts with Sarah Stevens and Sebastian Greene at the Bay School, and the Winter Faire Preview Party at the Bay School. As well as singing, Abigail also plays piano, guitar, cello, flute, clarinet, and the vibes; she currently teaches private lessons in piano and voice.
